Telescopic Waterways
- Amity Fire & Safety produces telescopic waterways with 2-sections through 6-sections with tube sizes 2 1/2" O.D. thru 7" O.D. We can produce telescoping waterways from 3 to 112 meters in length.
- All tubes are inspected for straightness of .01 per foot deviation. The diameter of each tube is inspected for ovality. All tubes are inspected for visual defects such as dents, pits, and scratches.
- All tubes that telescope are Duranodic coated with a 1mil coating thickness. This coating is resistant to extreme exposure conditions and abrasive actions.
- Fire apparatus swivels and aerial swivel elbows are available seperately, as well as hydraulic swivels / rotary unions.
- Amity uses seals made of Nitroxile. Nitroxile is suitable for general hydraulic service in petroleum based fluids, water-oil emulsions, water-glycol fluids, water based fluids. The temperature range is -40deg F to 250deg F. By using this seal, our waterways are able to seal in all conditions, all around the world.
- All components welded to the telescopic waterway are manufactured at Amity Fire & Safety.
- We can provide custom mounting of the waterway per customer request.
- All telescoping waterways are assembled using Castrol PD 1+ PD 2 grease.
- All waterways are greased at Amity Fire & Safety, so greasing of the waterway after installation is not necessary.
- All telescopic fire hoses are hydrostatically pressure tested to ensure there are no leaks when the waterway leaves Amity Fire & Safety.
- Amity telescopic waterways are rated at a working pressure of 250psi and flow up to 2000gpm.
- Amity Fire provides custom services for Aerial Water Systems Designs, including custom weldments and firetruck manifolds.
- Stainless steel pins are available as replacements or extras.
